Wonder, Worry and Trust!

The word wonder has positive connotation, it says in the dictionary that wonder means “a quality of exciting amazed admiration.” Sounds good to me, but I wonder (no pun intended) if the word wonder can get us in trouble. I wrote last time on worry; I often find myself either in a state of worry or a state of wonder

Either way, I think we are still getting ahead of God. To wonder is to look into the future and wonder how “that” is going to turn out, good or bad……  to worry as we talked about last time is to fear how “that” is going to turn out. I am starting to learn that neither worry nor wonder are healthy or productive states of mind. I often hear God remind me to stay in the day I am in, to not miss the very blessing of the present day, yet my mind is 2 months down the road, worrying and or wondering what will be, when I am missing the day at hand.

So what is the point of this blog, great question, I had to stop and ask myself the same thing

It all comes back to TRUST. We can worry or wonder into the future or we can just TRUST. Now this is way easier said than done, I say it, I pray it, I even write about it and I often beg God to help me Trust. I even wrote it on this scroll 3 years ago when I was baptized, but I still struggle…..

It seems to me that trust is not only a moment by moment, situation by situation, circumstance by circumstance choice; it is an on going journey. I would be curious to know if anyone really says I trust YOU Lord and leaves it there. Is that possible? I imagine the better you get to know someone, the more time you spend with them, the more faithful they show themselves the more you trust them!

So my conclusion: if we want to TRUST GOD, which is what I want, we have to spend more time with Him, getting to know Him through His living Word (the Bible) and look back and thank Him for His faithfulness over the years. Walk with Him, holding His hand in THIS VERY DAY, moment by moment, situation by situation and through each and every circumstance as they come, knowing full well that we are never alone, remembering always that if we come near to God He will come near to us!
